Studio Policies

  • Dance class is educational and fun, however, an important part of class work is developing an attitude of discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students.

  • The following guidelines promote a positive and conducive learning environment and are designed to help dancers attain the highest benefits from their classes.

  • No food or drinks other than water allowed in the dance rooms - no exceptions

  • Dance shoes are not to be worn out of the studio, and street shoes are not permitted on the dance floor.

  • Dancers are to wear the designated attire to ensure they will have adequate mobility. Improper clothing can impact technique, precision, ability to grip the floor, and visibility.  For ballet classes (elementary levels and up), hair must be worn up and secured in a bun. Students will not be permitted to take class unless properly attired.

  • We request that a skirt, coverup, coat or other appropriate apparel be worn to and from the studio.

  • All dance supplies should be labeled with a dancer's name or initials: dance bag, shoes, leotard, etc.

  • Placement of a student in a division or class is determined by the individual’s potential and technical proficiency and not necessarily by age or length of training.

  • Promptness and regular attendance are important in aiding your dancer’s progress. Classes missed due to illness may be made up but must be scheduled in advance through the front desk.

  • Any dancer arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be admitted to class for safety reasons. Please arrange for a make-up class if you anticipate being late.

  • The instructor will send any dancer that becomes ill or sustains an injury to the office where the parents will be notified if not on the premises.

  • To promote an engaging learning environment with minimal distractions, parents are not permitted inside the classroom except when invited by the instructor or attending one of the two parent watch weeks offered throughout the year.

  • Parents will be advised if we feel any student is not well adjusted to the classroom environment for any reason over time.

  • No running or loud disruptive behavior in the studio.

  • The office must receive advance notification if a dancer is to walk home, take an Uber, go to a specified location, or leave with anyone other than the usual means of transportation.

  • Our Annual Recital is held in the Spring. Participating in the Recital is not mandatory; however, we have found it to be a most valuable experience for students. For more information about our recitals, please click here.

  • We are always delighted to discuss your dancer's progress. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment.

If you have a question or concern regarding any of the above, please call (770) 887-0756.
