Sawnee Ballet Theatre holds open auditions each spring for dancers interested in joining our pre-professional company. Auditions are conducted at Sawnee School of the Arts, and acceptance is based on a dancer’s technique, strength, placement, artistry, and overall maturity.

Company dancers train year-round and perform in both The Nutcracker and our Spring Concert, with additional opportunities for repertory work, community performances, and mentorship. SBT company membership provides a professional-level experience in a supportive and disciplined environment.

Auditions for the 2026–2027 season will be held on May 9, 2026. There are two levels of auditions:

Level A (6 months to 2 years of pointe experience) - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Level B (2+ years of pointe experience) - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
