A Sweet Summer Adventure!

This summer, venture into the whimsical world of Hansel & Gretel, a bold and modern retelling of the classic tale brought to life through the power of dance. Presented by Sawnee Ballet Theatre and the Sawnee School of the Arts’ Sapphires performing group, this original production combines captivating choreography with a soundtrack of popular and current music you know and love.

This imaginative performance is perfect for the whole family.

As a free performance, this production is our gift back to the community—a celebration of the arts for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're a longtime dance enthusiast or discovering the magic of storytelling through movement for the first time, Hansel & Gretel promises an experience that will delight audiences of all ages.

Sawnee Ballet Theatre invites you to be part of the holiday magic by auditioning for the Community Cast of The Nutcracker.

This opportunity is open to individuals ages 6 through adult, with roles available for a wide range of performers. Whether you are an experienced dancer or simply love the stage, we welcome you to join this beloved holiday tradition.

Location: The FoCAL Center, 1150 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA
Age Range: 6 through adult

No formal dance experience is required for many roles. SBT is looking for enthusiastic participants who are excited to perform and commit to rehearsals and show dates.

INSPIRATIONS is a student choreographed showcase (much like a dance talent show) designed to encourage SSA dancers to explore their creative side and learn about the various aspects of choreographing a dance.  Dancers first pick a song that inspires them, then choreograph movement, choose costumes (can be a past recital costume, Amazon find, or from a trip to Target), and edit their own music.  Entry fee per piece is $25, and limited studio rentals will be available for $10 per session.  As always, this event is a fundraiser with proceeds benefitting a non-profit organization.
